Father and son busted with cocaine in Corozal

By BBN Staff: A father and his son have found themselves at the opposite end of the law.

They are Michael Newgent Sr. and Michael Newgent Jr.

According to police reports, they were busted with cocaine.

Shortly after midday today Corozal police visited their residence in Corozal Town and conducted a search.

That search led to the discovery of several small plastic packages containing white powdery substances suspected to be cocaine.

The packages weighed a total of 2.2 grams.

As a result both men were charged with drug trafficking.
