By BBN Staff: San Ignacio police along with assistance of community members yesterday detained two would-be robbers in Santa Elena town.
Businessman Alberto Palma, 47, reported to police that his son James Palma, 19, was at their business place on La Loma Luz Boulevard in Santa Elena town when a man entered the store while another stole a wooden night stand from in front of the store.
James reportedly exited the store and saw the man running down the Boulevard on to Zaiden street with the night stand.
James alerted his father, Alberto who managed to capture one of the men. He was later identified as James Nicholas, 38, of Santa Elena town.
A search of Nicholas’ home led to the discovery of the night stand belonging to Palma.
Nicholas was detained by officers and escorted to the San Ignacio police station officers. Nicholas is expected to be charged for theft today.
