By BBN Staff: Belize City Councilor and youth activist, Micah Goodin, visited the prison yesterday.

He was joined by the Belize City Council’s Sports Coordinator, Michael Novelo, and Youth Officer, Malcolm Nunez.

The trio delivered several sporting equipment to the Wagner’s Youth Facility (WYF).

However, before doing so, they all shared their testimonies and words of encouragement with minors accused of varying degrees of crimes.

Mr. Novelo recalled his youthful days on the south side of Belize City faced with similar conditions as those young people before the courts.

Mr. Nunez recounted an incident in which several of his friends were shot to death before his eyes.

Belize City Councilor, Micah Goodin, shared his determination to survive despite all the odds against him.

According to Goodin, our young people must not be forgotten despite their mistakes of the past.

He and his colleagues pledged to maintain a relationship with the youths at WYF.
