1-year-old boy drowns in small pond in Bella Vista

By BBN Staff: Police are investigating the drowning of a toddler that occurred yesterday in Bella Vista, Toledo.

Giselli Osgalla, 23, reported to police that she left her 1-year-old baby, Daniel Cruz with Nestor Cruz Sr.,50, at their home in Bella Vista.

Around 11 am, Osgalla found her baby floating in a small pond of water near her house.

He was pronounced dead by a medical officer at the Bella Vista Poly Clinic.

Police say that no sign of violence was observed on the body and foul play is not suspected.

The body now awaits a post mortem examination.
