Belize City man shot this morning

BBN Staff: Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred this morning in the old capital.

Marcos Zelaya,21, was walking on Complex Avenue, Belize City around 9:40 am when a burgundy vehicle stopped near him and several shots were fired towards his direction from within the vehicle.

Zelaya sustained gunshot injuries to his shoulder and back.

Police investigation continues.
