Boyfriend of Michael Williams’ female companion to be questioned in connection with murder

BBN Staff: Sometime around midnight on Saturday, Michael Williams, 58, was gunned down on North Front street in Belize city.

He was seated inside his vehicle with a female companion when two men walked up to him and one opened fire.

He had been shot to the left shoulder and near his left armpit.

His companion suffered minor injuries.

Today, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Alejandro Cowo, told police that the deceased was to drop off his companion at the location where he was killed.

When asked if this incident was a hit, police could not confirm.

Cowo revealed that Williams nor his female companion had any history of criminal activity but said the woman’s boyfriend would be questioned by police.
