Woman claims card withdrawals was payment for sexual favors

Posted: Wednesday, January 30, 2019. 7:28 pm CST.

BBN Staff: On Friday, January 25, Empress Williams, 22, was arraigned before Magistrate Emmerson Banner on a count of theft.

Williams pled not guilty to the charge and was given bail of $1,500 and one surety of the same amount.

Krem News reported that police officer Patrick O’Brien accused Williams of stealing $500 from his Belize Bank account on four separate occasions between January 12 and 13.

Williams reportedly withdrew a total of $2,000.

O’Brien reported the matter to the bank and noticed Williams as the person who withdrew the money.

Authorities visited Williams and she allegedly told them that she did not steal any money since the ATM card was given to her as payment for sexual favors.
