By BBN Staff: Just before midday yesterday, Javier Gonzalez and his employee visited his home in the Santa Rita Layout of Corozal town.
The duo were attempting to unload some goods when they were accosted by three men.
One assailant carried a firearm and another carried a baseball bat.
They were able to relieve the businessman and his employee of their personal belongings.
However, before they escaped, a physical struggle ensued during which the employee was grazed to the head by a bullet.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvett, today revealed that before the perpetrators robbed Gonzalez and his employee, they entered his home.
They reportedly tied up his wife and stole some of their possessions.
Quick police work led to the detention of one suspect and the recovery of some of the stolen items.
As investigations continue, the other two criminals are being sought.
