Councilor Goodin writes to ComPol for increased police patrol for evening students

Posted: Thursday, February 7, 2019. 4:04 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: Belize City Councilor with responsibility for Youth and Sports, Micah Goodin, today wrote to Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams.

In the letter, Councilor Goodin requested increased police patrol in areas traversed by tertiary students at night.

According to Goodin, last week two students of St. John’s Junior College were robbed while making their way home from evening classes.

Goodin says that increased police presence will help to deter these incidences of assaults and robberies so that students can focus on their studies.

“Our Council stands ready to support the Department in its crime fighting endeavors,” said Goodin.
