American national killed in home invasion

BBN Staff: An American national was killed last night in a home invasion in Corozal.

According to reports, around 8:30 p.m., police responded to reports of an aggravated burglary at a home on the Oasis area, Consejo road.

Police arrived and found 2 American nationals  suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Both victims were transported to the Corozal Community Hospital for treatment.

The woman was further transported to the Northern Regional Hopsital by ambulance. She passed away shortly after.

Authorities believe the culprit/s gained entrance to the house through a bathroom window.

An investigation is ongoing.
