By BBN Staff: Marie Sharp in partnership with the United States Embassy in Belize is launching a new product to bring awareness and combat gender based violence.
The famous Belizean brand, Marie Sharp’s ‘Pure Love’ Pineapple habanero sauce is being launched to generate funds to support victims of gender-based violence.
The artist of the label for the new product is gifted Belizean student Caity Tillett.
Proceeds will go to a domestic violence prevention fund to directly assist victims and Haven House.
Marie Sharp says that she had the formula for the new product but did not market it. Sharp says that the product carries pure pineapple pulp and habanero pepper.
“I know that everybody loves Marie Sharp sauce – and so I thought that if we use it in a pepper sauce I could get much more funds available because all of this will go to the Haven House in Belize. So, I thought it was one way of generating money fast enough because I know that every product I put out there is good and the market will accept it,” Sharp stated.
‘The violence must stop, and together we can make a difference,’ a statement from the US Embassy states.
