By BBN Staff: Every year, there are numerous campaigns about driving safely on the highways in Belize.
Sadly, there is a continuous rise in fatalities resulting from road traffic accidents across the country.
In 2018 alone, 65 people lost their lives as a result of road traffic accidents.
With only 2 months into the new year, 11 people have already lost their lives to vehicle accidents.
The Ministry of Transport continues to share valuable information with motorists and pedestrians about taking the necessary precautions to avoid accidents and fatalities.
Some basic precautions include no drinking and driving, avoiding speeding, and following traffic signs and rules.
