Embassy of Mexico in Belize invites you to a movie night

BBN Staff:The Embassy of Mexico in Belize invites the Belizean public to the first Mexican movie night at the Patio of 2019, with the projection of the multi-awarded film: ROMA.

The movie will be shown this Thursday, February 21 at 6:30 pm at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Belize City.

The movie projection is promoted by renown Mexican Director Alfonso Cuarón who called to organize free functions in their communities using the hashtag #ROMATÓN while sharing in social media the film projections.

The second edition of #ROMATÓN, is aimed to seek to support domestic workers and indigenous communities.

With every projection, NETFLIX will make a donation to the Center for Support and Training for Domestic Workers and the Seeds Fund.

ROMA is a 2018 Drama film written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón set in the 1970’s.

The story follows the life of a live-in house keeper of a middle-class family.

The film is the winner of several awards around the world and 10 nominations at the 91st Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Director: Alfonso Cuarón, Best Actress: Yalitza Aparicio and Best Supporting Actress: Marina de Tavira.
