Armed robber shot in the leg by police

BBN Staff: Keron Miguel, 21, has been detained by police.

He is believed to be one of the armed robbers who held up Kum Hua Shop on Daly Street in Belize City on Saturday.

He made off with an estimated $350 but quick police response led to his arrest after a police chase ensued.

It is during that chase that officers shot him to the leg to subdue him.

He will be taken to court sometime today.
