Authorities searching for 4 suspects after home invasion in Camalote

BBN Staff: There was a home invasion this morning in Camalote Village, Cayo.

According to reports, the home of an expat was reportedly burglarized and several electronic items were stolen.

The incident happened shortly before 9 am. Eyewitnesses told our newsroom that gunfire erupted when police started chasing 4 men as they tried to cross the river into La Rivera.

One of the men was carrying a black knapsack.

Authorities moved swiftly after prompting an operation with armed officers on both the Roaring Creek and La Rivera side near Belmopan.
