Man killed while walking on Belize City’s northside

BBN Staff: Just before midnight, there was a shooting on the north side of Belize City.

The victim, Roy Gilbert Lord, 31, was walking on Wilson Street when he was approached by an armed assailant who opened fire.

He was shot three times and died while receiving treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital this morning.

Lord, a resident of Lords Bank Village had reportedly left a home on New Road and was en route to the Tropicana Casino situated a block away from where he was killed.

The Lords Bank village council has since issued a statement of condolences to his family.
