Authorities find 70 containers with aviation fuel and burnt plane in Blue Creek, Orange Walk

By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating the illegal landing of an aircraft that touched down on Tuesday, February 21, in Orange Walk.

Official reports says that police responded to an area about 18 kilometers southeast of the Blue Creek community and found the charred remains of a single-engine aircraft on the road.

The area was canvassed and police found three aircraft seat, three full 50-litre containers and twelve 20-litre containers full with suspected aviation fuel.

No one was in the area at the time of the discovery.

Police investigations continue.
