Ministry of Health signs cooperation agreement with Cuba

By BBN Staff: Today, the Minister of Health, Pablo Marin signed a one year Cooperation Agreement with the Republic of Cuba.

The agreement is in support of the Cuban Medical Brigade which currently has 85 health professionals in Belize.

The agreement is for one year as it is envisioned that it would be reviewed based on Belize’s evolving health needs.

Signing on behalf of the Cuban government was Ambassador Lisette Perez.

Also present at the signing was Chief Executive officer in the Ministry of Health, Omar Figueroa.
