By BBN Staff: Punta Gorda native, Albert Valentine, has been charged with aggravated assault, keeping a firearm without a gun license, keeping ammunition without a gun license, and discharging a firearm in public.
These charges stem from a shooting in Punta Gorda on Monday night.
It is alleged that Valentine and another man rode up in front of a house and opened fire.
However, a police on duty, Constable Marcos Choc, was in the area and quickly responded.
He pursued and detained both men but only Valentine has been charged.
He is to appear in court today.
