By BBN Staff:The Belize Progressive Party (BPP) today issued a statement condemning the Elections and Boundaries Department for omitting the BPP in the organizations listed to observe the April 10 referendum.
The BPP says that it has been an active and legitimate Party to Electoral Politics in Belize through to the present and has maintained its Constituency Offices and Headquarter in Belize City and Punta Gorda.
The BPP further says that it has been fully engaged with the last two General Elections and the most recently concluded Municipal Elections in March 2018.
The BPP notes that it has engaged with the Elections and Boundaries Department as an active partner in the current Re-Registration Process up to the present.
The Belize Progressive Party states that it condemns in the strongest possible term this ‘egregious, unconscionable and divisive act’ by the Elections and Boundaries Department and calls on the Director of that Department and her superiors to remedy this blight on the principles of Good Governance and Accountability.
The BPP says that it remains fully committed to its mantra of 8867 Yesterday! 8867 Today!! 8867 Forever!!!
