Tour guide robbed of his gun and personal documents in San Ignacio Town

By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating an early morning robbery that occurred in San Ignacio Town, Cayo District.

According to reports, Pedro Cruz,60, a tour guide from San Ignacio told police that he was walking on Burns Avenue when he was attacked from behind.

The culprit hit Cruz to his head and then proceeded to rob his wallet containing personal documents, his cell phone and his licensed 9mm pistol containing 16 rounds of ammunition.

Cruz was taken to the San Ignacio Community Hospital for medical treatment.

Police are investigating.
