2 charged in connection with child prostitution and sexual exploitation

By BBN Staff: A man and a woman from San Ignacio have been charged for procuring a child for sexual exploitation.

As a result of an investigation conducted by the Anti Trafficking In Person Unit in Cayo yesterday, police arrested and charged Petrona Inez Montejo of San Ignacio with the crime of procuring a child for sexual exploitation.

Police also arrested and charged Jeffery Perez  of Santiago Juan Layout, San Ignacio for the crime of “child prostitution”.
