By Aaron Humes: Earlier this week we reported that a Belize City woman was being accused of grave offenses against her ex-partner.
Tanesia Payne of Flamboyant Street was charged with grievous harm and use of deadly means of harm after Richard Ellis reported that he was beaten up and stabbed while retrieving his gas tank at her residence.
As it turns out, Ellis’ claims were simply untrue.
On Wednesday, the charges were withdrawn on instruction from the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions
Payne was then allowed to go home free. There is no word on whether Ellis may face charges in connection with the false report.
