BBN Staff: Today, the Belize City Council is celebrating its one year anniversary of serving the residents of the old capital.

In commemoration of their anniversary, the city council is hosting an ‘Always bout the people’, celebration party tonight at the Battlefield park in Belize City.

The event will feature performances by Positive vibes, TR Shine, Marilyn Vansen, Chico Ramos, C-wills, Sweet Pain Band and Mime Martinez backed up by Blue Steel Sounds.

The event will commence at 6:00 p.m. and go through to midnight.

In an interview with Channel 5 Belize, Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner said that in his one year in office, the council has built a relationship with local government.

Wagner commented on his experience as a people’s representative for city residents, “ The people aspect of it has been a learning experience and everyday I learn on the job. Every single day I have been learning on the job and that is the best part of this job. Learning something new each and everyday.”

Wagner further shared that the Council is a family and the team has been working together to assist the residents of Belize City.
