Robbers busted with fake gun and stolen items

By BBN Staff: Authorities quick response led to the detention of 3 thieves and a fake gun.

On Wednesday, March 7, Belmopan police responded to a robbery report on Raccoon avenue and met businessman Yan Hua Chen.

Chen reported that at about 10:15 am, 2 men entered his store. One of the men had a gun and proceeded to steal money and electronic items.

Police searched a passenger bus just outside of Belmopan City and found 2 suspects.

Police also searched a bus in Hattieville Village and found another suspect with an imitation firearm and some stolen items.

The three suspects were detained pending charges.
