Police: Murder of Denmark Casimiro drug related

BBN Staff: Police have detained one man in connection with the shooting death of Denmark Casimiro, 41.

Sometime after 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, villagers in Sandhill told police they heard screams coming from Casimiro’s New Site home.

Shortly after, they heard two shots.

When police visited Casimiro’s residence they found him lying in bed with gunshot injuries.

According to police, it is believed that his death may be related to a drug transaction.

Police say that only days before his death, Casimiro had been threatened by his killer.

However, he never took the threats on his life seriously.
