By Aaron Humes:Kevin Alvarez, 24; James Fitzgibbon, 22; and Clinton Geban, 21, have been charged with the Waight Street burglary of supervisor Jevon Hernandez’s residence on March sixth.
Alvarez alone is accused of actually removing two television sets, a Samsung cell phone, tennis shoes, cologne, and other items valued at $7,999.95.
However, he, Fitzgibbon and Geban are additionally charged with handling stolen goods, alleged to be the proceeds of the burglary.
They are jointly charged with handling, on March seventh, a flat screen television valued at $550.00; a cologne valued at $100; a bath and body set gel valued at $30.00 and a light bulb valued at $3.95.
Alvarez is separately charged with handling 2 flat screen television, one valued at $1,395.00; and another at $2,000, all to a total of $3,395.00, on March ninth.
In court, the trio all pleaded not guilty and Senior Magistrate, Tricia Pitts-Anderson denied them bail and remanded them into custody at the Belize Central Prison until April 30, 2019.
The burglary took place between 8 a.m. and 12:20 in the afternoon and police quickly rounded up all suspects after finding much of the stolen goods allegedly in their possession.
