Police: A woman was shot in Ladyville last night

BBN Staff: Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred last night in Ladyville, Belize.

Around 10:20 last night, police were called out to the home of Margret Elijio on Marage Road in Ladyville. There, police saw Elijio with a gunshot wound.

She was transported to KHMH for treatment.

Elijio told police that she was in her bedroom when she heard several gunshots toward her home.

Elijio later realized that she was shot to her right upper shoulder.

Police are investigating.
