By BBN Staff:The National Institute of Culture and History (NICH), through the Museum of Belize and the San Pedro House of Culture, in conjunction with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is inviting the public to the opening of an exhibition of illustrations entitled RefugiARTe.
The opening will be held today at 6:30 pm.
The exhibit opens to the public on March 18, 2019, through to April 15, 2019.
The exhibition consists of illustrations by artists in Latin America, depicting refugees and the many challenges they face as they leave everything behind in their hope to find safety.
The exhibit also contains work from an artist in Belize, whose parents are refugees.
This traveling exhibition is a joint venture between NICH and the UNHCR, as part of the celebration of World Refugee Day.
