Dangriga police quickly nab suspected thieves after robbery

Police in southern Belize are investigating a case of armed robbery.

It happened shortly after 2:00 a.m. yesterday in Dangriga, Stann Creek.

Diane Somoza, 20, told police that she and her co-worker, Alejandro Rodriguez, left their workplace but upon reaching the Corner of Stanley Drive and Melinda Road, they were approached by three men.

One of the men, armed with a sawed-off shotgun, pointed it at them and robbed them of their possessions.

Quick police response led to the detention of the suspected robbers.
