By BBN Staff: Minutes after 11 on Friday night, San Ignacio police were called to Mennonite Beach in the Duckrun area of Cayo District.
There, authorities saw the body of an elderly man identified as Alvaro Molina,62.
According to reports, Molina and his brother went looking for their nephew who was fishing and they began drinking.
Molina’s brother reported to police that he was looking for his brother and that was when he saw him floating in the river.
The body was taken out of the water.
Authorities informed that a post mortem examination was conducted yesterday which concluded that Alvaro drowned.
