By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Finance announces that at midnight, the pump price for kerosene will decrease by nine cents from $7.74 to $7.65 per gallon while the pump price for diesel oil will decrease by one cent from $10.30 to $10.29 per gallon.
According to the Ministry, these decreases reflect stabilization in the global availability of oil despite the recent reduction in output by some OPEC countries.
Such reductions have been offset by a draw-down of strategic oil reserves in the United States combined with a moderation in demand.
The Government says that it is working closely with the fuel industry to ensure that prices remain as low as possible.
The Government also points out that in keeping with its stated policies it continues to pass through to the pump price any changes in the acquisition costs of fuel, whatever the direction or degree that such changes might be.
