Salomie Cherrington, office assistant at BTALCO in Belize City reported that sometime between 9 and 10 a.m., she was riding her motorcycle on Slaughterhouse Road en-route to Atlantic Bank to do her daily deposit.
Cherrington told police that she stopped at the corner of Cleghorn Street due to heavy traffic. That is when to men reportedly approached her. One of the men punched her and she fell off the cycle.
The other culprit then pulled the knapsack off her back and they both escaped.
The knapsack contained her Social Security Card, driver’s license, ATM Card and the deposit bag contained seven checks and $1,496.87 Bze and $698 US cash.
An investigation is on going.
