Thieves assault officer and take his gun

BBN Staff: A police officer was assaulted this morning in Belize City.

According to reports, around 2:00 a.m. today, a police officer was involved in an altercation with a man.

The man was inside of a vehicle with two other men and they attempted to take away the officer’s police issued gun.

The culprit/s knocked the officer in his head and then escaped with the gun.

An investigation is on going
