Four dead in three road traffic accidents since Friday

By BBN Staff: Four persons have lost their lives in three separate road traffic accidents over the weekend.

The first accident occured on Friday night on the Hummingbird Highway.

Heinrich Froese, 51, told police that he was travelling from Dangriga, Stann Creek towards Belmopan, Cayo when Carlos Larios, 26, crossed the highway in front of him.

Larios was struck and died on impact.

On Saturday night at around 6 p.m. there was another fatal road traffic accident near Spanish Lookout, Cayo.

Police say that two persons carrying the last name “Penner” were driving on a motorcycle when a vehicle collided into them from behind.

They were both flung from the motorcycle and to their immediate deaths.

Following that accident there was another fatal accident in Scotland Halfmoon, Belize.

Another motorcyclist died as a result.
