Budget had no consultation from businessmen

Aaron Humes:The Senate will debate this year’s Budget on Thursday, March 28th, but Senator Mark Lizarraga made preliminary comments in speaking with us on Friday.

“This is another no-consultation tax-and-spend budget; many items that were not taxed before are taxed now and they have done so administratively, and in the dark of the night, they pass regulations to tax items which were never taxed. There promises to be more; the strategy statement claims that there is going to be more of that,” Lizarraga pointed out.

The Senator explained that the Government’s reckless planning and spending combined with high taxes and disdain for consultation resulted in economic growth which is not sustainable.
