Belize City Police: 1 dead, 1 injured in early morning shooting

BBN Staff: Police have just issued an official report on a shooting incident which left one man dead and another injured.

According to reports, shortly after 7 a.m. police received reports of a shooting in the CET Site area of Lake Independence.

Upon arrival, they observed a man identified as Jordan Lorenzo.

Lorenzo had multiple gunshot woulds and was found motionless motionless on a mattress.

Police also observed Rakeem Cruz, 17, with gunshot injuries to the right upper shoulder.

Cruz was transported to the hospital in a stable condition.
