Morgan won the award, known as the “Nobel Prize” in Taiwan`s machinery sector” by its sponsor the HIWIN Technologies Corporation, along with 1 million NT$(New Taiwan Dollars), which is over BZ$65,000. An article published this week on jacquelinedifield.com, highlighted Morgan’s success, noting that his thesis focused on increasing the efficiency in producing plastic products by using artificial intelligence and injection molds.
Interviewer Jacqueline D. Ifield, said that Morgan had submitted his thesis in 2018, as a Mechanical Engineering student at Kun Shan University in Tainan, Taiwan. The research then went through two phases of peer review, and an oral defense exercise, which is where Morgan secured his win.
Morgan is currently completing a second Masters Degree in Taiwan.
