Kudos To AMLO!

AMLO is the abbreviation for the full name of Mexico’s current president.

His name is President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador better known as AMLO. His presidency was inaugurated on December 1st, 2018. His government for some political analyst is a socialist regime. He took over office from Enrique Peña Nieto. AMLO made a call on the State of Spain to apologize to the native people of Mexico for all the brutal atrocities the Spaniards committed in the name of Spain during their conquest on this part of world. The Pope already did a few years ago. Wow! What a Spanish reaction! The profound, irrational, and hepatic reaction of the government of
Spain surely surprised millions in this part of the world. They even told AMLO about his grandpa. Practices that are classic in third world politics. Mexico’s GDP is $1.15 trillion USD with enormous potential for growth and that of Spain is $1.13 trillion USD statistics of 2017, mind you. Suddenly, in the name of Spain’s ego and pride, because there is no other explanation, more so that both governments are socialist, that AMLO’s call for Spain to apologize to the natives of this part of world for their brutal atrocities, deceptions, exploitation, and extractions is POPULISM. Suddenly too, populism is obscenity. It is obscene and profane to defend the interest of or take an action that the majority favour because when you defend the interest of the majority, is populism.

Populism is profanity! It is bad word. Precisely, as I wrote in my article, “Democracy Antagonizing Itself,” they use the tool of democracy which is voting and the sacred votes of the majority who voted to side with the minority and the majority are left on theirown to perish. That is the go. Even though, this majority in the society are those who pay the most in taxes in quantity and quality in proportion. That is precisely what is obscene and should be scorned. There is where profanity is and not in populism. A leader is to lead for the majority and not for the minority. This usage of populism began in the year 2000 when certain leaders criticized the privatizations done by the previous government and intended to revert some processes but the media owned by the status quo tilted them as populist. So if that is, populism, to rule for the majority, so let it be. AMLO has the moral solvent to ask Spain for PARDON and the same should be asked from Britain, France, and other European States. He has the moral solvent as a legal, legitimate, constitutional president but also as the grandson of a Spaniard. It shows how genuine his call it. Not many with his ancestry would have the guts to make such call for pardon. We have many here in Belize with British heritage rather than calling on Britain, they continued with British nonsense especially of indoctrination. AMLO shows that his criteria and those of his assessors show are not part of the mainstream school of thoughts. They are they telling Spain that they committed brutal atrocities in the past and supported policies that sunk our people and relegated them to poverty and abandonment to the present day. They took away their lands, livelihoods, beliefs, and identities and slam them with abandonment. The least Spain can do is become humble and ask for pardon. Arrogance will lead them nowhere. The actual generation of Spaniards aren’t the perpetrators. So not wanting to apologize, indicates that they condone all acts committed typified as acts against humanity since 1492 in this part of the world. Humanity one thousand years ago is still humanity.

The Pope had asked for pardon which certainly is not a sign of humiliation but seemingly the present Spanish government is full of arrogance and considers asking for pardon as populism. SO KUDOS TO AMLO! Let’s hope they finally ask for pardon.

Hence, Belize is neither for Spain, British, nor Guatemala. Belize is for the Belizeans.

As a result, the ICJ doesn’t have the jurisdiction to adjudicate nothing in regards to Belize. More so, that the native people of Belize were not even taken into consideration during the negotiation process with Guatemala and are not the ones asking for a referendum. As per usual, those who have more rights are relegated. The Garinagou (Kalinagou) of the South even though they were granted land by the British weren’t also
taken into consideration and there is risk for their livelihood and existence, which is unnecessary. This practice of arrogance by certain countries, cultures, and ethnic group has to stop even though we are zoopolitikons. The thousands of different ethnic groups on Earth are like the thousands of different species of animals and plants. A mahogany doesn’t tell a cedar I am better than you or your space is mine. The diversity of Earth is
for a purpose.

The West Coast African countries from where the slaves were gathered to be sold as merchandises to this part of the world should also apologize to the descendants of the slaves. It is the highest level of treason. For too long, the whites are the ones taking the blame for the slave trade and the cry there is for reparation. These West African nations are equally responsible based on their histories for the experiences during and
post slave trade. If the black brothers wouldn’t have rounded up their own black brothers and sisters and sold them to the whites, the history of slavery would have been different than as we know it today. So they are equally or more responsible and should apologize
and reparate also if that is the trend. That practice also remain with us today as a curse. The black brothers and sisters still continues selling each other, whether literally or figuratively. I said that the slave trade would have been different because the
descendants of the black slaves in this part of the world have in their conscious and subconsciousness that their ancestors were the only slaves in the history of the world to the point of using the fallacy of mercy. Slavery had no colour nor race. When you study
human history it is embedded in slavery practices. It just happen that most don’t dwell in it. They moved on. It is innate in human beings to subjugate the weak or less fortunate.We have the genes for that, some more than others. Hence, in modern and contemporary legislation, laws are passed to prohibit these practices because they still existence to a lesser extent today now called human trafficking. Seemingly, the strategy
has been to maintain poverty for these practices to flourish because when a leader emerges to change the practice, he or she is called populist.
