Carlos Reyes succumbs to gunshot injuries in Dangriga

By BBN Staff: Sometime around 7 last night, there was a shooting in Dangriga, Stann Creek.

Carlos Noe Reyes, 48, sustained multiple gunshot injuries and died.

We understand that another man was also shot but remains hospitalized in a critical condition.

Sources in Dangriga told our newsroom that the deceased was a law-abiding businessman who was a friend to everyone in the community.

His sister, Michelle Reyes, posted to Facebook, ” Please keep us prayers. We are all broken.”

Earlier this week two Dangriga men came under gunfire in Belize City.

During that incident, one of them passed away.

Police attributed that shooting incident to a drug transaction.

Police are yet to identify a motive for this new incident.
