Dangriga police investigating shooting that left one dead, one critical

By BBN Staff: Police in Dangriga are investigating the murder of Belizean fisherman, Carlos Reyes.

Around 6:15 last night, police were called out to Citron Street, Dangriga where cops saw the motionless body of Reyes in the kitchen of his home.

Police also went to the Southern Regional Hospital and saw Israel Pimentel, 30, a Guatemalan national of Sarawee, Stann Creek with a single gunshot to his body.

A police investigation revealed that both men were socializing at Reyes’ home when an armed man entered the house and shot them both.

Pimentel is listed in a critical condition.

Police are investigating.
