Popular Belizean personality passes away

Her best fried Silvana Udz, told Breaking Belize News that she passed away last night at her sister’s home in Los Angeles. Staine had reportedly been battling a terminal illness for some time.

Staine was a well known Belizean activist and the founder of the Belize Business Bureau back in the 1990s. As a lover of the arts, Staine was instrumental in fundraising for many social and cultural events, including the Governor General’s Music in Schools program.  She had hosted Open Packi for over 16 years.
