By BBN Staff: The National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) is looking for Belizean-made short films to be shown at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival (TTFF/19) in August.
NICH put out the call for films this afternoon, saying that five films will be selected for TTF/19 which preempts the Caribbean Festival of Arts (CARIFESTA) will take place in Trinidad and Tobago from August 17th to 23rd, 2019. The call for films focuses specifically on new
shorts, features, narrative films,documentaries from the region and its diaspora which explores the Caribbean experience.
“There is no set theme but there is a preference for films that celebrate the arts in the region and the shared rich culture of the
Caribbean,” NICH said.
There is a requirement that all submissions must have been completed after January 2017 and not shown previously at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival (TTFF). Submissions will be accepted up to April 24th, 2019 after which a pre-selection will be sent onward to the organizers of TTFF/19 Carifesta by the end of the month.
