Esperanza infant traveling in capsized canoe passes away

BBN Staff: On March 29, BBN broke the news of an incident in Esperanza village where two children fell into the river when the canoe they were traveling in capsized.

The child was taken to the La Loma Luz Hospital in Santa Elena town for medical treatment following the incident.

BBN can confirm that the infant passed away on Monday, April 1.
