Government vehicle overturns and burns

BBN Staff: A white pick up truck belonging to the Government of Belize and being used by the Ministry of Agriculture was completely destroyed last night. 

Reports to BBN indicate that an accident involving the truck occurred around 10:00 p.m. on the Benque Viejo road, Cayo.

The driver of the vehicle reportedly lost control and overturned. It is also reported that the vehicle was incinerated, possibly by the impact. Two personnel from the Central Farm Agriculture Department were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.  

The vehicle is still at the scene. BBN will provide an update when more details are available.
