Argentinian entrepreneur wanted for tax evasion believed to have fled to Belize

By BBN Staff: News outlets in Argentina are reporting that a man wanted by the country’s authorities for tax evasion have fled the country and is believed to be in Belize.

Alberto Samid, a 71-year-old entrepreneur and a political affiliate of the Justicialist Party is being accused of evading a significant amount of taxes for his many livestock and meat shop businesses.

Today, Samid assured national news outlets in Argentina that he will not turn himself in because according to him, he is being politically victimized since he is not a supporter of the current government.

Argentinan authorities are waiting now for Interpol to issue an international warrant for Samid’s arrest.
