Security Guard murdered in San Ignacio

By BBN Staff: San Ignacio police are investigating a murder that occurred yesterday afternoon.

Around 4:45 p.m., authorities were called to a home on Thornley Street, San Ignacio where cops found the body of a man inside a small wooden structure in a state of decomposition.

The victim was identified as Macario Tzib of Bullet Tree village.

A post-mortem examination was conducted and the cause of death was certified as due to “Hypovolemic shock due to Internal and external exsanguinations as a result of combined cut throat and stab wounds to the chest”.

Police are investigating.
