Belize City Councilor Micah Goodin gets back portfolios

By BBN Staff: Belize City Councilor, Micah Goodin, has been reassigned his portfolios at City Hall.

That is according to a statement released by the Belize City Council which indicated that the council saw it fit to return those portfolios.

“The Councilor has expressed that he took the Mayor’s advice and used the past weeks to reflect on his role and how that aligns with the Council’s mandate to serve the people,” said the statement.

Goodin responded to the news with a message for Belize City residents.

“You prayed for me during the darkest days of my political career,” he said.

He added, “Thank you for loving and believing in me when my spirit was so low that it was hard to even believe in myself.”

He continued, “I love you all and wish only to serve you.”

He indicated that his political career is one that he does not take for granted.

“I will continue to work so that life may improve for as many as possible,” he concluded.
