By BBN Staff: Belize’s ranking on the Henley and Partners Passport Index, the tool that measures how many countries passport holders can travel to visa-free, has improved since last year.
Belize ranked 51 on the list this year, with a visa-free score of 100.
In 2018 Belize was in 54th place with a visa-free score of 96.
The list also saw many changes this year, with Japan replacing Germany at the number one rank, with a visa-free score of 189 followed by
Singapore and then Korea. Germany places fourth this year with a visa-free score of 188. Iraq replaced Afghanistan in last place (rank 104) with a score of visa-free score of 30.
Henley and Partners compile the ranking list using data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which maintains the world’s largest and most comprehensive database of travel information.
The company also conducts in-house research to run quality assurance on the data.
