Minor charged for attempted murder

By BBN Staff: Police have arrested and charged a Belize City minor, 15, for the attempted murder of Keith Courtenay Jr.

Police say that the minor’s mother was present when he was charged with a single count each of ‘attempted murder’, ‘aggravated assault’,
‘deadly means of harm’ and ‘dangerous harm’.

The minor allegedly shot Courtenay around 8:30 a.m. on Monday at the corner of Sarstoon and Ebony Street. Courtenay was shot once to the lower body, treated at the hospital and released on Monday.
